Backup Types
Which types of backups does SecureBackup support?
There are different types of backup, and the type of backup that you set defines how the data is copied from your source to your destination, and also defines how a backup is stored and structured at your destination. Securebackup allows you to configure three different types of backups : Full, Differential, and Incremental
The table below provides an overview comparison between these backup types:
Backup type | Data backed up | Backup time | Restore time | Storage time |
---|---|---|---|---|
FULL | All data | Slowest | Fast | High |
INCREMENTAL (recommended) | Only new or modified data | Fast | Moderate | Lowest |
DIFFERENTIAL | All new or modified data since last full backup | Moderate | Fast | Moderate |
